Quick and Dirty Reviews - January 2018

In January 2018 I've managed to read 45 books. I thought I'd write up a few quick and dirty reviews for a selection of books read this month.

It's been an eclectic mix of reads and I've hit some very high notes as well as some not-so high ones. Some were on my list of books to watch out for in 2018.

"I'm yours, William Frazier, my handsome unicorn. I'm yours forever and I'm ready"

I was highly anticipating the release of this book because (1) Susan Fanetti is one of my favorite go-to authors, and (2) This was her first foray into the historical romance sub-genre.

In a nutshell, this epic story blew my socks off. It proved why I believe Susan Fanetti is a phenomenal storyteller and writer. The story itself gave an epic glimpse into the suffragette movement that coincided with some key moments in history. I was completely blown away by Nora - she was an incredibly brave, intelligent and passionate young woman. I experience the whole gamut of emotions as I delved through the pages of this epic story and it gave good insight into how far we have come since this period in history. I couldn't fathom the unbelievable cruelty that took place back in those days for women who stood up for their rights.
